For most designers, logo design is a very ambitious yet pleasant task. It should be noted that a logo is only a component of visual identity, which in turn is a very important aspect of corporate identity.
Paul Rand - one of the most recognized logo creators of 20th century, used to say: „A trademark is designed by a designer, but created by the company”. It’s hard to disagree with this statement. A logo must be consistent with organization’s general external communication strategy, image, mission and objectives, but its reception is beyond the scope of designer activities. Its form and shape must have something familiar, which would allow the logo to be recognized in the future. On the other hand, it must be unique in its form to facilitate remembering.
